Immediately, Steven Tyler announced that he wasn't feeling well and that his voice and throat were a little messed up when he came on, but he would try to power through the concert anyway. The entire show was almost entirely focused on Joe Perry, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing since that man can wail. They had to cut the concert short after only an hour and a half, but he did a decent job. It was necessary to give Mamma Mia! some short-lived breaks, even though he sang like 3 songs, which we probably could have done without. I felt that it could have been so much more with no Sweet Emotion, no Dream On, no Dude Looks Like a Lady.
